Recently, the Site Selection Report for the Burqin General Aviation Airport Reconstruction and Expansion Project, prepared by China Chemical Geotechnical Engineering, successfully passed the review by the Xinjiang Regional Administration of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), marking a milestone step for the company in Xinjiang's low-altitude economy sector.

Entrusted by the Xinjiang Regional Administration of CAAC, the review meeting was organized by the CAAC Airport Planning and Design Research Institute. Representatives from the Airport Division and Flight Operations Division of the Xinjiang Regional Administration, the expert panel commissioned by the Administration, the Burqin County People's Government, the Development and Reform Bureau, the Natural Resources Bureau, the Meteorological Bureau, Xinjiang Communications Investment Industrial Co., Ltd., Xinjiang Communications Investment Burqin Airport Co., Ltd., and the design personnel of China Chemical Geotechnical Engineering attended the meeting. On June 16, the expert panel conducted an on-site survey of the airport site; on June 17, they heard the design unit's report on the site plan. After in-depth discussion, the panel unanimously agreed that building the Burqin General Aviation Airport is an important support for the region's social and economic development, that the project's site technical plan is feasible, and that it meets the development needs of the regional low-altitude industry.

In the Burqin General Aviation Airport project, China Chemical Geotechnical Engineering was deeply involved in key stages such as site demonstration, technical consulting, and airport runway construction, and will also take on the airport's operation and management—this is the company's first airport service case covering the entire life cycle of "preliminary consulting-construction-operation management," demonstrating its full-industry-chain service capabilities.

The Burqin Airport is also the company's first project in cooperation with Xinjiang Communications Investment Group, laying a solid foundation for the two sides to deepen cooperation in the low-altitude economy sector and holding strategic significance for the company's expansion into the low-altitude industry market in western China. The successful advancement of the Burqin General Aviation Airport project is an important practice of China Chemical Geotechnical Engineering in response to the national "low-altitude economy" development strategy. In the future, the company will take "full life-cycle services" as its focus, deeply participate in Xinjiang's general aviation infrastructure construction, help the low-altitude economy move from "blueprint" to "reality," and contribute to the development of the regional low-altitude economy.

The Burqin General Aviation Airport is a Class A1 general aviation airport with a flight area classification of 2B. It is planned to build an 1,800 m × 30 m runway, a parallel taxiway, and three connecting taxiways, along with an apron, hangar, comprehensive business building, and air traffic control, communications, and meteorological facilities, with a total investment of approximately 150 million yuan. After the airport opens and operates, it will focus on developing low-altitude tourism, flight training, short-haul transportation, emergency rescue and disaster relief, and aviation operations, promoting the upgrading of the "tourism+" and "general aviation+" industries and injecting new momentum into Burqin's development.
