Biography

Cai Guojun, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor,National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholarsrecipient and Chief Scientist of a National Key R&D Program project. He obtained his master's and doctoral degrees from Southeast University and formerly taught at the School of Transportation of Southeast University. In 2021, he was appointed Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of Anhui Jianzhu University.

He has long been devoted to research on in-situ testing in engineering geology, theories of intelligent underground detection, and applications in environmental geotechnical engineering. He has led 15 vertical projects including National Natural Science Foundation projects and 23 commissioned key engineering projects, published 3 monographs, been granted 90 invention patents and 15 software copyrights, and served as chief editor or co-editor of 10 national and industry standards. He has published more than 220 SCI/EI papers. He has received 5 provincial and ministerial science and technology awards, including the First Prize of the Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Award and the First Prize of the Science and Technology Award of the China Highway and Transportation Society, as well as honors such as the Mao Yisheng Youth Award in Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, the Gold Award of the Youth Science and Technology Award of the Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering, the Silver Hammer Award of the Youth Science and Technology Award of the Geological Society of China, and theChina Highway and Transportation SocietyYouth Science and Technology Award.
