In the field of nuclear island construction and installation nationwide, only two enterprises were awarded this rating. Nuclear power execution standards are based on the internationally most stringent standard systems such as RCC-M and ASME, representing the highest management philosophy and level in the construction field, and are subject to the strictest supervision by the National Nuclear Safety Administration. As a nuclear power specialized enterprise cultivated with key focus by the Group, PowerChina Nuclear Engineering Company is currently the only enterprise under the Group holding a civil nuclear safety equipment installation license, and is also one of the few engineering enterprises nationwide that simultaneously possess the Grade Special qualification for general electric power contracting and nuclear qualifications. The company has consistently attached importance to national nuclear power construction. As early as 1987, it participated in the construction of China's first large-scale commercial nuclear power plant, the Guangdong Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant, and won the Best Engineering Project Award selected by the US magazine "Power." In 2008, PowerChina Nuclear Engineering Company, for the first time nationwide, undertook the conventional island construction and installation engineering of Units 1, 2, and 5 of Phase I of the Guangdong Yangjiang Nuclear Power Plant under the integrated construction and installation model, and won the First Prize of the National Excellent Welding Engineering Award. With its outstanding nuclear power engineering performance, the company has become a qualified contractor for the three major nuclear power groups: CGN, SPIC, and CNNC.
