On June 3, CCTV's Xinwen Lianbo broadcast as its lead story "[New Thought Leads a New Journey] Comprehensively Enhancing Grain Production Capacity and Consolidating the Foundation of Food Security," which featured Zoomlion's Yuelu Smart Farm as an example to introduce how the Zoomlion smart agriculture research team, through the development of multiple algorithms and technologies combined with self-developed crop models, uses precision fertilization technology services to help save fertilizer and increase yields, creating a new model for smart agriculture.

The Zoomlion Yuelu Smart Farm shown in the footage is located in Yungai Village, Lianhua Town, Yuelu District, Changsha City, covering nearly 800 mu. The project aims to build an ecological, digital and intelligent crop cultivation system, using the collection, analysis and decision-making of agricultural big data to provide precise technical support and services for crop cultivation, and strives to create a lighthouse-type smart park integrating digital high-standard farmland, advanced agronomic technologies and high-end intelligent agricultural machinery and equipment.

Based on agro-meteorological and remote sensing monitoring data, and with crop models and AI large-model technology at its core, Zoomlion has built a crop cultivation decision-making system that makes the entire crop cultivation process—fertilization, irrigation, plant protection and more—intelligent in its decision-making. Precision fertilization is one of its representative achievements. According to reports, the Zoomlion smart agriculture research team has successfully developed multiple algorithms and technologies such as remote sensing growth diagnosis and dynamic adjustment of variable topdressing. Combined with self-developed crop models, square-meter-level variable fertilization can be carried out via drones, achieving "apply where there is a deficiency, apply what is deficient, and apply only as much as is deficient."
