On the occasion of the ninth National Science and Technology Workers' Day, on the morning of May 28, the Shandong Province 2025 National Science and Technology Workers' Day main venue event, co-hosted by the Shandong Provincial Association for Science and Technology, the Publicity Department of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee, the Shandong Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and Shandong Heavy Industry Group, was held at China National Heavy Duty Truck Group (Sinotruk). Attendees included Li Guoqiang, Deputy Secretary-General of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee; Man Shengang, Party Secretary and Director of the Shandong Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, and Party Secretary and Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group; Zou Guangde, Party Secretary and Vice Chairman of the Shandong Provincial Association for Science and Technology; Tian Feng, Deputy Director of the General Office of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee; Wang Yinglong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Shandong Provincial People's Congress and Vice Chairman of the Education, Science, Culture and Public Health Committee; Sun Wenli, Deputy Director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee; Liu Feng, Member of the Party Leadership Group of the Shandong Provincial Department of Science and Technology and Party Secretary of the Shandong Institute of Innovation and Development; Lian Kai, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice Chairman of the Shandong Provincial Association for Science and Technology; and Liu Zhengtao, Party Secretary and Chairman of Sinotruk. Cao Jiqiang, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture Committee of Qinghai Province and Secretary-General, attended as a guest.

At the event, the key activities of Shandong Province for the 2025 National Science and Technology Workers' Day were released, awards were presented for outstanding themed works on the spirit of scientists, appointment letters were issued to representatives of the selected members of the Shandong Province 2025 Scientists' Spirit Report Team, and the Party School of the Shandong Provincial Association for Science and Technology signed an agreement with the Qinghai Atomic City Memorial Hall to jointly build a "Red Leadership" learning and education base of the Party School of the Shandong Provincial Association for Science and Technology. A representative of science and technology workers from Sinotruk read out an initiative on serving scientific and technological innovation, calling on the broad ranks of science and technology workers to bravely take the lead in achieving scientific and technological self-reliance and self-strengthening, and to make achievements and contributions to building a strong province in science and technology.

At the main venue event, the China Atomic City "Two Bombs, One Satellite" Spirit Lecture Team delivered a themed presentation. With the theme of inheriting the red genes of Atomic City and carrying forward the "Two Bombs, One Satellite" spirit, the presentation recounted the moving and heroic stories that occurred during the development of the "Two Bombs" from different aspects and perspectives, and deepened understanding of the major strategic significance of inheriting and innovating the "Two Bombs, One Satellite" spirit in the new era.

A historical photo exhibition entitled "The Spirit of 'Two Bombs, One Satellite' Shines Forever — China Atomic City Historical Photo Exhibition" was set up at the event. The exhibition, co-hosted by the Shandong Provincial Association for Science and Technology, the Publicity Department of the CPC Haibei Prefecture Committee, and the Qinghai Atomic City Memorial Hall, presented through more than one hundred precious historical photographs the entire process of the "Two Bombs, One Satellite" endeavor from difficult decision-making to great success, allowing the public to draw the spiritual strength of patriotism, dedication, unity, and struggle from the glorious history of "Two Bombs, One Satellite."

May 30 this year marks the ninth National Science and Technology Workers' Day, with the theme "Committed to Innovation and Development, Building a Strong Nation in Science and Technology." During the event period, the whole province, centering on the theme and working both online and offline, carefully organized activities such as lectures and exhibitions to carry forward the spirit of scientists, theatrical performances, and concentrated publicity campaigns, as well as a series of practical activities for science and technology workers including national conditions study, academic exchanges, suggestions and recommendations, and science and technology competitions, conveying the care and concern of the Party and the government to the hearts of science and technology workers. Symposia for scientific and technological talent and joint themed science popularization actions were also carried out during the event period, further encouraging science and technology workers to serve high-level scientific and technological self-reliance and self-strengthening.
