At 9:19 on May 25, China Eastern Airlines flight MU5247, carrying 148 passengers, arrived smoothly at Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport, which PowerChina Airport Construction Company participated in building. The route is operated by the C919, marking the official opening of Xiamen's first commercially operated route served by a domestically produced large aircraft — the Shanghai Hongqiao–Xiamen Gaoqi direct round-trip route. 

As the first central state-owned enterprise to participate in the construction of Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport, PowerChina Airport Construction Company built the airport's first runway, with a total length of 2,150 meters, and was awarded the National Quality Engineering Silver Award. In addition, over more than 40 years of operation at Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport, PowerChina Airport Construction Company, as the airport maintenance team selected through bidding by Yuanxiang (Xiamen) International Airport Co., Ltd., has undertaken one non-stop-operation airfield pavement maintenance project after another, making outstanding contributions to the safe and normal operation of the airport. It has repeatedly received praise from Yuanxiang (Xiamen) International Airport Co., Ltd. and was awarded the airport integrated service provider's "Annual Engineering Quality Excellence Team Award."
