On May 14–15, 2025, the 22nd High-Level Forum on Construction Machinery Development, hosted by the China Construction Machinery Association (hereinafter referred to as the Association), was held in Taiyuan, Shanxi.

With the theme "Opening a New Chapter, Expanding New Horizons, Creating New Achievements," this year's forum aimed to deeply analyze the development trends and innovation pathways of the construction machinery industry and help the industry embark on a new journey toward high-quality development. A total of 460 participants attended the forum, including representatives from the Association and its branches, member units, upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain, experts and scholars, and mainstream industry media.

This year's forum featured two high-level dialogues, in which 16 senior leaders from leading construction machinery enterprises, centering on the forum theme "Opening a New Chapter, Expanding New Horizons, Creating New Achievements," explored in depth the pathways and strategies for cultivating new quality productive forces in the construction machinery industry based on their companies' own realities and development plans, and shared their practical insights and successful experiences in the course of transformation, upgrading, and innovative development.

High-Level Dialogue (I)

The first high-level dialogue of the forum was moderated by Qi Jun, Honorary President and Special Advisor of the Association. Hou Hua:Before 2021, I served as Dean of the School of Materials Science and Engineering at North University of China. In September 2021, I was transferred to Taiyuan University of Science and Technology.

Taiyuan University of Science and Technology traces its origins to Taiyuan Heavy Machinery Institute, founded in 1952. It was the first undergraduate institution for heavy machinery in New China and is an important base for talent cultivation and scientific and technological research and development in the engineering equipment manufacturing industry. The university focuses its main research direction on the construction machinery discipline, covering specialties such as construction machinery, hoisting and conveying machinery, metallurgical machinery, mining machinery, and forging and pressing machinery.
