On May 8, with the TBM cutterhead breaking through the ground, the left-line tunnel of the section from University Town South Station to Zhaishanping Station of the Chongqing Metro Line 27 project, constructed by PowerChina Railway Company, was successfully completed, making it the first section shield in Line 27 to complete the dual-section tunneling task and achieve breakthrough, laying a solid foundation for the full line's completion.

Chongqing Metro Line 27 is a key project of Chongqing Municipality, with a total length of approximately 56 kilometers, of which the company is constructing 22 kilometers, including 5 stations and 5 main-line sections.
