Recently, Package 1 of Peru's Bicentennial Public Investment Special Project, the General Prado School, undertaken by Sinohydro Bureau 11 Co., Ltd., was officially inaugurated, marking the on-schedule delivery of all 14 schools covered by Package 1 and the successful completion of the project's construction tasks.

At the inauguration ceremony of the General Prado School, Peruvian Minister of Education Morgan Quero said in his speech that the completion of the school not only effectively alleviated the shortage of school places in the central urban area, but also significantly enhanced the region's educational capacity through the expansion of high-quality educational resources. He spoke highly of the high standards, high efficiency and high quality demonstrated by the Chinese enterprise during project construction, and, on behalf of the government, expressed sincere gratitude to the PowerChina team for its positive contribution to the development of education in Peru.

Peru's Bicentennial Public Investment Special Project involves the construction of 75 schools in total and is planned to benefit more than 500,000 students. It is an important livelihood project established by the Peruvian government to commemorate the bicentennial of independence, promote educational equity and improve infrastructure levels.

As an important part of the project, Package 1 comprises 14 schools and benefits more than 12,000 students and teaching staff, making it a key batch in the overall construction task. As the flagship campus among them, the General Prado School has an 82-year history and is the first national girls' school in the Callao region, and is hailed as an important milestone in Peru's education sector.

The newly built campus covers an area of 22,944 square meters and can accommodate 3,600 students. The building complex includes multiple functional areas such as teaching buildings, laboratory buildings, a library, a multi-purpose hall, a sports stadium and an administrative office building. Once completed, it will become the largest and most fully functional modern basic education facility in the Lima urban area.

During project execution, Sinohydro Bureau 11 Co., Ltd. fully introduced green and energy-saving design concepts and modern information-based teaching systems, strictly implemented safety and environmental protection standards, widely recruited local labor, actively integrated into the local community and boosted regional economic development. As one of the typical representatives, the new campus of the General Prado School features a scientific and reasonable overall layout and advanced and complete facilities, creating a high-quality teaching and growth environment for teachers and students while also setting a benchmark demonstration for project construction. The efficient advancement and high-quality delivery of the project have won high recognition from the Peruvian government, the school and all sectors of society.
