 4000-ton-class crawler crane——
 XCMG XGC88000 Model No. 1
This hoisting task has been successfully completed

Setting a new domestic record for ethylene tower hoisting

During 120 days of intensive work on the Gulei Peninsula in Fujian Province, this XCMG 4000-ton-class crawler crane has excellently completed the hoisting of 7 oversized towers, with a total weight of 9,200 tons, and set a new domestic record by completing the hoisting of five ethylene towers in 32 days, becoming a key equipment force in this exemplary China-Saudi energy cooperation project.

Having successfully completed its task, this XCMG XGC88000 immediately began disassembly work. This "giant" weighs 6,500 tons itself and has a maximum lifting height of 216 meters. Once fully disassembled, its components could cover two football fields, and all components require 180 trips by large flatbed trucks to be fully transported.

Hardcore strength! Challenging high-precision hoisting

"This is currently the crawler crane with the largest single-unit lifting capacity in the world. The total hoisting volume of this project is equivalent to sending 65 Boeing 747s into the clouds at the same time," said Project Manager Chen.

The construction site has variable wind speeds and large temperature differences between day and night, and the towers are massive in size with complex structures, posing extremely high challenges to hoisting precision and equipment stability. From the quench water tower to the 100-meter-high propylene tower, the XCMG XGC88000 broke through industry bottlenecks, with every lift completed and precisely controlled within a millimeter-level error range.

Previously, this crane also successfully completed the hoisting of thousand-ton-class oversized towers for the largest cross-strait petrochemical industry cooperation project—the Gulei Refining and Chemical Integration Phase I Project.

Technology leadership! Forging a "national weight"

This super equipment, hailed by CCTV as a "national weight," has won the National Science and Technology Progress Award, possesses 3 internationally pioneering technologies, 6 internationally leading technologies, and more than 80 national patents, and has set five world records: "largest lifting capacity globally, strongest working condition adaptability, optimal transport efficiency, and highest safety and reliability."

Since being put into use in 2013, this XCMG XGC88000 has participated in the construction of more than 20 major projects worldwide, with footprints across the length and breadth of the motherland, and has traveled to Saudi Arabia, Oman, and other countries along the "Belt and Road," with a cumulative hoisting total of approximately 200,000 tons.
