On April 30, 2025, as the "May 1st" International Labor Day and the "May 4th" Youth Day were approaching, LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd. grandly held a commemorative conference themed "The Spark of a Century of Workers' Movement Is Passed On, Youth's Intelligent Manufacturing Embarks on a New Journey" in the lecture hall of its Global R&D Center. Through commending outstanding role models, promoting the spirit of craftsmanship, and pooling the strength of youth, the conference injected strong momentum into advancing Chinese-style modernization.

Zeng Guang'an, Party Secretary, Chairman, and CEO of LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd.; Li Yuning, Deputy Party Secretary, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, and Chairman of the Labor Union; Huang Haibo, Vice Chairman and Executive Director; Luo Guobing, Senior Vice President; Li Muhan, Vice President; and Huang Xu, Vice President, attended the conference. Zeng Guang'an: Keep the entrustment firmly in mind and unswervingly advance the high-quality development strategy

On behalf of the Party Committee of the company, Zeng Guang'an expressed festive greetings and high respect to the workers and young employees fighting on all fronts of the company. Reviewing the past year, he noted that all LiuGong people have always kept firmly in mind General Secretary Xi Jinping's earnest entrustment during his inspection of Guangxi and LiuGong, closely followed the national strategic deployment for developing the high-end equipment manufacturing industry, and focused closely on the primary task of high-quality development to fully promote the high-quality implementation of the company's development strategy of "comprehensive solutions, comprehensive intelligence, and comprehensive internationalization." Taking "profit growth, business growth, quality improvement, and capability growth" as core goals and running them through every link of enterprise operation, the company has presented a new look in steady operation, blazed new paths in corporate governance, entered a new stage in industrial layout, climbed to a new level in scientific and technological self-reliance and self-strengthening, and achieved new speed in the transformation toward intelligent manufacturing, successfully weathering the industry downturn and achieving a breakthrough against the trend.

In the first quarter of this year, China's construction machinery industry got off to a strong start. Driven by both recovering market demand and innovation, LiuGong made a strong opening with a striving posture of "action first" and delivered a remarkable report card featuring "leading growth, optimized structure, and winning through service." Zeng Guang'an called on all LiuGong people to unite more closely around the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, always be guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, unswervingly follow the path of socialist mass organization development with Chinese characteristics, and, with the striving spirit of "constant self-improvement and striving for perfection," the sense of responsibility of innovation and transformation and mission accomplishment, and a long-term strategic vision and spirit of continuous struggle, strive to build a world-class leading brand and go all out to write a new chapter in LiuGong's high-quality development.

He also pointed out that labor union organizations at all levels should uphold the concept of "customer first," focus on "comprehensive solutions," and build a "home of striving"; adhere to the development approach of "innovation drives the future," focus on "comprehensive intelligence," and build a "home of innovation"; and uphold the principle of "cooperation creates value," focus on "comprehensive internationalization," and create a "home of happiness."

Li Yuning: Renew the aspiration to serve the country through industry and bravely scale new heights in intelligent manufacturing

Li Yuning delivered a speech at the commemorative conference entitled "Renew the Aspiration to Serve the Country through Industry and Bravely Scale New Heights in Intelligent Manufacturing." In his speech, he highly praised the brilliant achievements of a century of workers' movement and expressed the hope that all cadres and employees and the broad youth would earnestly study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the conference celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and commending national model workers and advanced workers, and vigorously carry forward the spirit of model workers, the spirit of labor, and the spirit of craftsmanship. At the same time, he encouraged the broad employees, amid the wave of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation in the new era, to actively devote themselves to practice, make contributions, dare to innovate and create, comprehensively improve their own qualities, unswervingly listen to the Party and follow the Party, and contribute tremendous strength to realizing LiuGong's high-quality development and advancing Chinese-style modernization. 

Setting examples and sharing growth journeys

At the conference, Zhu Fei, a 2024 "Guangxi Craftsman," and Yang Yang, one of LiuGong's "Top Ten Outstanding Youths," shared the growth journeys of high-quality new-type industrial workers and outstanding youths in the new era, setting excellent examples for company employees of bravely shouldering heavy responsibilities and daring to innovate and seek change. Representatives of model workers and youth also jointly performed the poetry recitation "This Is How We Came," turning the epic struggle of industrial workers into a sonorous oath of "serving the country through intelligent manufacturing."

Commending the advanced and inspiring progress

The conference specially included an award-presentation-on-behalf session, presenting awards to Pang Qiwen, who received the title of 2025 "National Model Worker," as well as to national-level honor recipients such as the winning team of the 2024 national "Ankang Cup" competition and the national railway outstanding youth collective and individuals. At the same time, advanced collectives and outstanding individuals, including advanced collectives and individuals in LiuGong's labor union work, winners of employee skills competitions, "May 4th Red Flag Youth League Organizations," "Top Ten Outstanding Youths," and "Youth Role Models," were commended, thereby encouraging the broad employees to pool their strength, forge souls with craftsmanship, seize new opportunities, jointly create new advantages, and bravely shoulder new missions.
