is an honorary title conferred by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council

on those who have

made major contributions to the cause of socialist construction

It is awarded to enterprise employees, farmers

and other socialist builders

The selection and commendation is conducted once every five years

The selection of National Model Workers

follows a bottom-up approach with selection at each level, selecting the best from the good

strictly implementing the "two reviews and three public announcements" procedure

with the commendation decision made by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council

these two "National Model Workers"

Li Jiangfeng, male, member of the Communist Party of China, 43 years old, senior technician, and Chief Skilled Expert of the Port and Waterway Installation Company of the First Engineering Company. In 2006 he was named a Tianjin Model Worker, in 2015 a "Super Craftsman" of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, in 2018 he received the National May 1 Labor Medal, and in 2023 he was named a "Tianjin Good Person" in the dedication and devotion category. Hegrew from an ordinary migrant worker into a leading technical expert in the industry, having participated in the construction of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link, the NH reef islands, and projects in Papua New Guinea, making positive contributions to infrastructure construction at home and abroad and to advancing the Belt and Road Initiative, and twice earning General Secretary Xi Jinping's praise that he had "made indispensable contributions."

Duan Wenpan, male, member of the Communist Party of China, born in October 1985, senior engineer, and Manager of the Mulei Project Department of the Fifth Engineering Company. In 2011 he received the Hebei Provincial May 1 Labor Medal, and in 2014 he was named a Hebei Provincial Model Worker.He has been rooted at the grassroots level for 17 years, having participated in multiple projects including the Lanzhou-Chongqing Railway, the Hedu Expressway, Cambodia's National Highway No. 55, the Jingzhong Expressway, and the Xinjiang Mulei Wind Power project, making positive contributions to national infrastructure and the Belt and Road Initiative.
