Recently, Zoomlion's independently developed ZAT40000H7, the world's largest-tonnage all-terrain crane, successfully hoisted a 6.25MW wind turbine into place at a wind farm installation site in Tai'an County, Anshan City, Liaoning Province, demonstrating the outstanding performance of this major national equipment and marking the arrival of a higher-quality, all-new solution for ultra-high wind turbine installation in China.

The wind turbine hoisted this time has a capacity of 6.25MW and a hub center height of 160 meters. Due to limited equipment relocation and working space, how to complete the hoisting efficiently and safely became the core challenge of construction. Zoomlion's ZAT40000H7 all-terrain crane precisely addresses the construction pain points with three core advantages: "powerful lifting performance, flexible travel and relocation, and convenient and efficient operation."

As the world's first 4,000-tonne-class all-terrain crane capable of integrated hoisting of "190-meter 7.0MW wind turbines," the ZAT40000H7 features an ultra-long main boom and innovative reinforced boom technology, enabling it to independently complete integrated hoisting of a wind turbine rotor at a height of 190 meters. It also reserves ample room for wind power upgrades through technical redundancy, meeting the future trend toward larger onshore wind turbines.

At the construction site, Zoomlion's ZAT40000H7 all-terrain crane, with its 10-axle compact chassis design of "3-meter width and 22.5-meter length," easily achieved convenient relocation. Meanwhile, its rapid assembly and disassembly mode reduced the required assembly site area by 40%, making it easy to handle mountainous wind farms. At the command, the ZAT40000H7's giant boom extended and successively lifted the 150-tonne nacelle and the nearly 130-tonne rotor as a whole to a height of 160 meters, equivalent to more than 50 stories.

Niu Xiaolu, chairman of Qingdao Tongli Hoisting Machinery Co., Ltd., which was responsible for the hoisting construction, said frankly: "We chose Zoomlion's ZAT40000H7 this time precisely because of its full-lifecycle value; it is a key step in our layout of the northern wind power market. In this 160-meter-high hoisting operation, the ZAT40000H7's single-boom independent lifting technology saved us the coordination cost of two auxiliary cranes. This innovation brings not only efficiency improvements but also a disruption of the entire wind power construction model!"

The ZAT40000H7 is an innovative product from Zoomlion that, after setting world records twice with 2,000-tonne-class and 2,400-tonne-class cranes, continues to surpass itself and sets a world record for the third time, leading the global all-terrain crane industry into a new 4,000-tonne-class era. This super crane is mainly developed for the installation of extra-large and ultra-high onshore wind turbines and has set multiple industry bests, including "strongest lifting capacity, highest technical content, widest working condition coverage, and fastest job relocation."

The successful hoisting this time marks that Zoomlion has once again achieved technological leadership in the field of ultra-high wind power installation. The ZAT40000H7 not only fills the gap in ultra-high-altitude hoisting equipment for wind farms, but also redefines wind power construction efficiency standards through the cross-sector integration of "all-terrain chassis + super-strong lifting." Zoomlion will continue to uphold its innovation-driven development philosophy, continuously improve product performance and technical levels, and provide global customers with higher-quality and more efficient high-end equipment solutions.
