From April 22 to 24, the Second Meeting of the 11th Membership Assembly and the Third Meeting of the 11th Council of the China Machinery Industry Workers' Ideological and Political Work Research Association (hereinafter referred to as the "China Machinery Political Research Association"), hosted by the China Machinery Political Research Association and undertaken by Zoomlion, were held in Changsha, Hunan. More than 160 representatives from machinery industry enterprises and institutions and the machinery vocational education field across the country attended the meeting.

Wu Zuping, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Political Research Association of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended the meeting to provide guidance. Li Jiangtao, Deputy Director of the Strategic Management Committee and Chairman of the Labor Union of Zoomlion, delivered a welcome speech on behalf of Zoomlion and expressed gratitude to the China Machinery Political Research Association for its high recognition of and strong support for Zoomlion. Xue Yiping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the China Machinery Industry Federation and Chairman of the China Machinery Political Research Association, delivered a work report entitled "Striving in the New Era, Demonstrating New Achievements" on behalf of the China Machinery Political Research Association. The assembly voted to approve the members of the 11th Expert Committee of the China Machinery Political Research Association, the adjustment of the Vice Chairmen of the Council, and the addition of Council members. Wan Lijun, Director of the Party-Masses Work Department and Secretary of the Youth League Committee of Zoomlion, was elected as a member of the 11th Expert Committee of the China Machinery Political Research Association.

At the meeting, medals and certificates were presented to the outstanding units in organizing and recommending research project results for the first, second, and third categories of research projects in 2023 and 2024, as well as the outstanding units in organizing the collection of outstanding cases of ideological and political work in the national machinery industry in 2024.

Zoomlion was honored as an outstanding unit in organizing and recommending research project results for 2023 and 2024. Projects such as "Research on Cultivating Outstanding Work Teams in the Machinery Industry in the New Era," "Research on the Practice of Ideological and Political Construction Empowering High-Quality Enterprise Development in the New Era," "Research on the Inspirational Role of Models in the New Era," and "Research on the Promotion and Deep Embedding of Corporate Culture in Grassroots Work Teams" won first-category and third-category research project results.

A professor from the Party School of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the CPC delivered a special training session entitled "Xi Jinping's Cultural Thought Empowering Ideological and Political Work." Taking the study outline of Xi Jinping's cultural thought as the main thread, the professor explained in simple terms, from both theoretical and practical perspectives, how to use Xi Jinping's cultural thought to empower ideological and political work.

At the meeting, Zoomlion Co., Ltd., Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group Co., Ltd., Pinggao Group Co., Ltd., and Tianjin Electromechanical Technology Technician College conducted experience exchanges. Wang Xuhong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of Zoomlion, gave an experience introduction entitled "A Thousand Sails Race in Fair Winds—Party Building Leads Development, Thought Builds the Future." He elaborated on Zoomlion's practical experience and approaches in Party building leading development, thought building the future, and boosting high-quality enterprise development from three aspects: "Party building guiding the way and strengthening the roots and soul, leading high-quality enterprise development with high-quality Party building; carrying forward the spirit and innovating for development, contributing Zoomlion's strength to promoting the realization of a manufacturing powerhouse; and culture-driven and responsibility-taking, building a solid cultural foundation for creating a highland of advanced manufacturing."

After the meeting, the representatives visited the Zoomlion Smart Industrial City, touring the headquarters research building, the innovation incubation base, and the four major host machinery parks for earthmoving machinery, engineering hoisting machinery, concrete machinery, and aerial work machinery. They conducted on-site inspections of the world-leading smart factory and praised Zoomlion for always adhering to Party building leadership and promoting high-quality enterprise development.

The representatives made a special trip to Shaoshan, where, with reverence, they laid flower baskets before the bronze statue of Comrade Mao Zedong and visited the Comrade Mao Zedong Memorial Hall, the Relics Hall, and Comrade Mao Zedong's former residence, deeply commemorating Comrade Mao Zedong's great achievements, revolutionary spirit, and lofty demeanor.

Founded in 1984, the China Machinery Political Research Association, as an industry political research association, has over the past 41 years united and led the vast number of enterprises and institutions in the machinery industry, continuously deepened research on ideological and political work through the rich practice of China's machinery industry development, and produced a number of outstanding research results, providing strong ideological and political guarantees for the high-quality development of the machinery industry.
