On April 25, Sinotruk and Toyota Motor Corporation signed a strategic cooperation agreement at Toyota's headquarters in Nagoya, Japan. Man Shengang, Party Secretary and Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, and Yoichi Miyazaki, Vice President of Toyota Motor Corporation, attended the signing event and held discussions and exchanges. Ma Changhai, Member of the Party Committee and Vice General Manager of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, and Mitsumasa Yamagata, General Manager of Toyota's Hydrogen Factory, also participated in the event.

Man Shengang stated that Sinotruk and Toyota Motor Corporation have long been actively promoting cooperation and development in the hydrogen energy industry, and have achieved encouraging progress and pragmatic results in the collaborative R&D and application of hydrogen fuel cell heavy trucks and powertrains. Shandong Heavy Industry has always adhered to the philosophy of open cooperation, working hand in hand with global industry giants, and hopes to deepen strategic cooperation with Toyota Motor Corporation in broader fields and at a higher level, to achieve complementary advantages and jointly open up the future.

Yoichi Miyazaki affirmed the latest cooperation results achieved by both parties. He said that China is a huge potential market for the promotion and popularization of hydrogen energy, and long-distance heavy-duty trunk logistics vehicles are an important scenario highly suited to hydrogen energy applications. He looks forward to the two sides deepening cooperation in the hydrogen business, jointly opening up broad development space for the future, and together making greater contributions to the global carbon neutrality cause.

Han Feng of Sinotruk Group and Shinichi Tanabe of Toyota's Hydrogen Factory signed the strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of both parties. Toyota Motor Corporation possesses world-leading hydrogen fuel cell technology, and Sinotruk is a leading enterprise in China's commercial vehicle industry. The hydrogen fuel cell tractor jointly developed by the two parties has already been delivered to the market for batch application. In the future, the two sides will establish broader cooperation in areas such as collaborative R&D of hydrogen fuel commercial vehicles, demonstration operations, promotion and application, and business model innovation, working together to build a new ecosystem for the zero-carbon logistics industry chain.

Man Shengang also visited Toyota's showroom and hydrogen power plant.
