From April 22 to 24, 2025, the 9th Cement Mine "Lingong" Summit, hosted by the China Cement Association and exclusively title-sponsored by Shandong Lingong Construction Machinery Co., Ltd., was grandly held in Yiwu, Zhejiang. With the core theme of "Learning the New Law, Promoting Development, and Achieving Green and Intelligent Cement Mines," the conference attracted nearly 60 cement mine leaders and experts from industry organizations, research institutes, and upstream and downstream enterprises. Together they explored the path toward intelligent and green development of the cement mine industry against the backdrop of the implementation of the newly revised Mineral Resources Law of the People's Republic of China.

Currently, the cement industry is facing numerous challenges such as overcapacity, insufficient demand, and declining profitability. As the "grain basket" of cement production, the construction and development of cement mines are crucial to the sustainability of the industry. The newly revised Mineral Resources Law will take effect on July 1, 2025, clearly stipulating that the utilization of mineral resources must follow the principles of ensuring safety, conservation and intensive use, scientific and technological support, and green development, thereby charting the course for the development of the cement mine industry.

At the summit, Wang Yutao, Secretary-General of the China Cement Association, delivered a speech in which he emphasized the important position of cement mines within the industry and the necessity of studying and implementing the new Mineral Resources Law and advancing green mine construction. He also called on the entire industry to implement industrial policies such as "staggered production" and "capacity replacement" to drive industrial transformation, upgrading, and structural adjustment, thereby achieving sustainable and high-quality development of the industry.
