On the occasion of the upcoming 100th anniversary of the founding of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, on the morning of April 23, the launch ceremony of Weifang City's "Crafting Weifang" Employee Labor and Skills Competition and the "Craftsmanship Benefiting Enterprises" Special Action of Model Workers and Craftsmen Assisting Enterprises was held at the Weichai Industrial Park. The first Craftsman Week of Weichai Group also grandly opened. A total of 600 people attended the event, including vice chairmen in charge of the federations of trade unions of all counties, cities, and districts and municipal development zones of Weifang City, heads of trade unions of some municipal industries and municipal government organs, representatives of model workers and craftsmen, and representatives of cadres and craftsmen of Weichai Group.

Jia Ping, Party Secretary and Executive Vice Chairman of the Weifang Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, announced the launch of the event and required trade union organizations at all levels across the city to take this launch ceremony as an opportunity to give full play to the innovative, excellence-creating, and cohesive and motivating role of competition activities, stimulate the enthusiasm of the broad masses of employees to "compare, learn, catch up, help, and surpass," and contribute positive strength to accelerating the building of a strong modern socialist city in the new era.

Three "Great Country Craftsmen" from different industries across the country, Xia Li, Cheng Ping, and Feng Xinyan, respectively shared their insights into the "spirit of model workers, the spirit of labor, and the spirit of craftsmanship." From the ultimate pursuit of details to decades of perseverance day after day, the growth stories and spiritual journeys of the three "Great Country Craftsmen" enabled the audience to deeply realize that the "three spirits" are not merely a skill, but also an attitude and a strength.

This event is also part of the series of activities of the first Craftsman Week and Competition Season of Weichai Group, providing strong support for the group's high-quality development and digital-intelligent transformation.

The event called on the broad masses of employees to vigorously carry forward the spirit of model workers, the spirit of labor, and the spirit of craftsmanship, internalize them in the heart and externalize them in action, continuously sharpen work passion and the lofty aspiration of serving the country through industry, shine and contribute in their respective posts with a more rigorous attitude and more professional skills, and actively contribute to promoting the high-quality development of enterprises.

In the past five years, through systematic cultivation, Weichai Group has trained 1 Great Country Craftsman, 1 candidate for Great Country Craftsman, 3 national technical experts, 17 Shandong provincial technical experts, and 24 Weifang municipal technical experts; recommended 1 Luban Chief Craftsman, 4 Qilu Craftsmen, 15 Qilu Chief Technicians, 21 municipal-level craftsmen, and 23 municipal-level chief technicians; and formed the "honeycomb-style" Weichai industrial worker team construction reform model, making the Weichai brand resound across the country and the province.
