Li Ji's career trajectory is like a road of steel casting from the military camp to SANY. After being discharged, he entered SANY Industrial College, and two years of theoretical study became his stepping stone into the world of machinery. In 2011, he formally joined SANY Pile Driver, and with the discipline and execution unique to veterans, through countless trips and perseverance, he quickly grew into a mainstay of the service engineer team.

His choice to become a pile driver service engineer stemmed from a simple belief in "keeping feet on the ground and revitalizing the nation through practical work." Over fourteen years, Li Ji's bag has always contained two things: repair tools and emergency equipment. Late-night emergency repair calls are like military bugles; regardless of wind or rain, he can always reach the site as quickly as possible. From hands covered in oil while replacing the main pump overnight to trudging through mud to repair rotary drilling rigs in the rain, every repair operation racing against time is the most vivid footnote to the "craftsman spirit."

The battlefield of a pile driver service engineer never distinguishes day from night. On a rainy night in 2024, Li Ji received an urgent request from a customer: the equipment had suddenly failed, but the site was right against a slope, and machinery could not enter to assist with repairs, so it could only stop a hundred meters away. Construction progress stalled, and the customer was extremely anxious.

"The customer is anxious, and we are even more anxious," Li Ji recalled. He and his team members quickly arrived at the site and built a temporary wooden platform in the rain, with safety belts fastened to the slippery steel beams. Rain blurred their vision, but the operation of the tools in their hands remained precise and error-free. After more than ten hours of emergency repair, the equipment finally returned to normal. The customer's furrowed brows finally relaxed, and he gave a thumbs-up: "SANY's service is really something!"

Such scenes have become the norm in Li Ji's career. From replacing the main pump overnight to repairing drilling rigs in the rain, each time is a dual test of physical strength and willpower. What supports him along the way is teamwork, customer recognition, and a deep love for the profession. He has always been guided by the philosophy of "be a good person before doing good work," interpreting the spirit of SANY service through action—no matter how harsh the environment, the customer's equipment always comes first.

In Li Ji's career, gilded banners are like medals, telling of his hard work over the past fourteen years. In 2021, he was selected as a "Model Worker and Craftsman" of SANY Heavy Machinery, and in 2024 he was honored as "Annual Outstanding Service Engineer." Behind these honors is his silent dedication to solving customers' problems countless times.

"When a customer holds my hand and says 'thanks to you,' that sense of accomplishment cannot be replaced by any material reward," Li Ji admitted. In his view, the value of a service engineer goes far beyond repairing equipment; it is also about creating time value for customers. Every rapid troubleshooting is a safeguard for project progress; every late-night emergency response is a defense of customer interests. It is precisely this "customer first" service philosophy that has won him customers' trust and enabled him to achieve extraordinary results in an ordinary position.

The high-intensity nature of the profession inevitably means Li Ji spends little time with his family. Absences on holidays and missed family gatherings have become regrets he cannot make up for. His wife shoulders the burden of the family with her fragile shoulders and has never complained; the expectant voice of his child on the other end of the phone becomes his deepest concern on the way home.

"I try to make up for it with good food, researching new dishes every weekend," Li Ji said. He turns his guilt toward his family into warmth in the kitchen, using a pot of braised pork or a bowl of hot soup to convey the tenderness deep in the heart of a man of steel.

Fourteen years of deep cultivation have not led Li Ji to rest in his comfort zone. Facing the wave of technological iteration in the industry, he actively participates in company training. From traditional pile foundations to intelligent construction, he continuously breaks through the boundaries of knowledge with an "empty cup mentality."

"A service engineer cannot just be a 'repairman'; he must become a construction consultant trusted by customers," Li Ji said. He uses his spare time to study technology and empowers traditional services with technological innovation. This thirst for knowledge and embrace of change is precisely the inexhaustible source of vitality for the group of SANY service engineers.

From the Xiang River to the Pearl River, Li Ji has interpreted "extraordinary perseverance in an ordinary position" with fourteen years of youth. He has witnessed the solid foundation along Shenzhen Bay and participated in the foundation construction of countless urban landmarks. When skyscrapers rise and subway tunnels extend underground, he can proudly tell his child: "The foundation of this city bears the traces jointly poured by Dad and his customers."
