On April 14, as the hook of Zoomlion's 2000-ton crawler crane was precisely lowered, the hoisting of Module Six of the steel liner for Unit 3 of the Zhangzhou Nuclear Power Plant of the "Hualong One" project was successfully completed, with the hoisting process safe and overall quality controllable. The successful completion of this hoisting task marks that all steel liner modules of Unit 3 have been smoothly hoisted into place with the assistance of Zoomlion cranes.

The steel liner cylinder of the reactor building is a major component of the "Hualong One" containment, playing an important role in withstanding pressure under design-basis accidents and preventing the leakage of radioactive materials. According to reports, the steel liner of the reactor building of Zhangzhou Nuclear Power Unit 3 is divided into six modules in total, of which Module Six consists of 10 cylinder sections, with 45 polar crane brackets and 16 integrated penetration sleeves distributed on the 10 cylinder sections, and a total hoisting weight of approximately 173 tons.

As the steel liner module is a thin-walled, large-diameter cylindrical structure featuring thin walls, large volume and heavy weight, it presents problems such as a large windward area and easy deformation of the module during hoisting. With outstanding stability and safety, Zoomlion's 2000-ton crane, through a series of precise movements including lifting, slewing, traveling and luffing, safely and smoothly hoisted Module Six of the steel liner for Unit 3 into place in a total of 2 hours and 24 minutes, laying a solid foundation for subsequent work.

Module Six of the steel liner for Zhangzhou Nuclear Power Unit 3 hoisted this time is the last steel liner module of the unit. In less than a year since the successful hoisting of steel liner Module One on April 29, 2024, Zoomlion cranes have safely, stably and smoothly completed the hoisting of all steel liner modules of the unit, fully demonstrating the sense of responsibility and strong strength of a major-country heavy equipment manufacturer.
