Recently, the list of winning companies for the "2025-2026 Mercer China DEI Pioneer Enterprise Awards" was announced. Cummins China, with its outstanding performance in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and its policy of equal retirement age for men and women, won both the "China DEI Outstanding Leadership Award" and the "China DEI Outstanding Practice Award," becoming one of five companies to receive both honors simultaneously.
This selection attracted 165 companies to participate. After a rigorous review process and standards screening, 44 companies ultimately stood out and won awards in the two major categories of this year's Mercer China DEI Pioneer Enterprise selection, including 20 companies receiving the "China DEI Outstanding Leadership Award" and 24 companies receiving the "China DEI Outstanding Practice Award."
Cummins is committed to building a sound working environment that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive. This award is tremendous recognition of our long-term efforts and practices in this field.

Chen Hua, Executive Director of Supply Chain, Quality and Information Technology at Cummins China and initiator of the key area of gender diversity at Cummins China, said as a representative of the winning companies in a keynote speech, "In a diverse and inclusive atmosphere, we hope every employee can find their own space for development here. Our policy of equal retirement age for men and women, the human-machine engineering project, and the multigenerational inclusion project are all concrete practices through which we advance this concept. These efforts have not only improved employee satisfaction and engagement but also laid a solid foundation for the company's long-term development."
At Cummins China, diversity work focuses on six major areas: gender diversity, disability inclusion, inclusive behaviors, multigenerational inclusion, enhancing the influence of China-based employees on the global platform, and diverse work experience. Cummins China formally implemented the policy of equal retirement age for men and women in March 2022, stipulating that the retirement age for female employees within the company is consistent with the statutory retirement age for men of the same age. By the end of 2024, 85% of female employees who reached retirement age had chosen to use this policy.
The Mercer China DEI Pioneer Enterprise selection is an authoritative selection activity initiated and hosted by Mercer in China. Its selection criteria cover multiple dimensions such as companies' policy formulation, management practices, employee participation, and social influence in the DEI field, aiming to recognize exemplary enterprises that have made outstanding contributions in the DEI field and demonstrated exceptional leadership and innovative practices.
