On March 28 local time, during the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2025, the Middle East Bureau of China Media Group reported on PowerChina's UAE Abu Dhabi PV3 Al Ajban 1.5 GW photovoltaic project (hereinafter referred to as the "PV3 Project") via multi-platform live streaming. The live broadcast was carried out simultaneously on multiple platforms, including CCTV News WeChat Channels, Bilibili, Weibo, Baidu, and Xigua Video.

Using the PV3 Project as an example, this live broadcast focused on PowerChina's reasons for going global, the challenges and opportunities encountered in overseas expansion, and localized management, vividly demonstrating the practice of Chinese enterprises in painting a new picture of green transformation in the Middle East, as well as PowerChina's important role in the Middle East's green energy transition.

During the live broadcast, CCTV reporter Zhang Zhuoya asked a question that many netizens cared about: "What kind of opportunity led PowerChina to go out into the world and to the UAE?" The interviewed project manager proudly said: "PowerChina's slogan is 'POWERCHINA, POWER THE WORLD.' As a main force in green energy construction, PowerChina is committed to developing green energy globally and striving to become an industry leader. By bringing Chinese products, Chinese technology, and Chinese standards abroad, PowerChina not only promotes the widespread application of green energy worldwide but also contributes to the balance of global production capacity." Hearing this answer, netizens in the live chat excitedly posted PowerChina's slogan in the comments section and gave PowerChina a thumbs-up, while some foreign netizens said, "I really like this company" and "PowerChina is also in my country."

The live program also specially invited Rani, a foreign employee of the PV3 Project and head of civil construction, to share his view of PowerChina. Rani said that he has worked at PowerChina for three years and has been deeply influenced by PowerChina's corporate culture, and that he is full of enthusiasm for and identification with the work here. He mentioned that his work experience at PowerChina has not only benefited him greatly but also helped him grow a lot personally.

The PV3 Project is currently the largest single-unit photovoltaic EPC general contracting project undertaken by PowerChina overseas, covering an area of about 20 square kilometers, equivalent to 2,801 football fields, with a total installed capacity of 1,500 megawatts. The project started construction on September 1, 2024, and is scheduled to achieve grid-connected power generation by April 30, 2026. At present, the PV3 Project has about 50 Chinese management personnel and more than 100 foreign employees, and at peak times more than 4,000 workers will be directly involved, greatly promoting local employment. Through the implementation of the project, it is expected to create more than 10,000 jobs in total, effectively driving local GDP growth and increasing tax revenue. After the project is completed, it can meet the electricity demand of about 160,000 households per year and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 2.4 million tons, actively responding to the local government's call for energy transition and achieving green and sustainable development goals.

As one of the earliest central enterprises to "go global," PowerChina has brought new development opportunities and green hope to the Middle East through advanced green energy projects. This live interview not only demonstrated PowerChina's strength but also enhanced the image of Chinese-funded enterprises in overseas markets.
