On March 25, the review meeting for the China Association for Engineering Construction Standardization (CECS) standard "Technical Standard for Foundations in Soft Soil (Draft for Review)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Standard"), led by CABR Foundation, was successfully held in Yixing City, Jiangsu Province. The expert review panel consisted of 7 renowned domestic experts, with Hua Jianxin, National Engineering Survey and Design Master, serving as the group leader, and Zhang Yan, Vice Chairman of the Jiangsu Civil and Architectural Society, serving as the deputy group leader. Cheng Qi, Deputy Director of the Technical Standards Department of CECS, chaired the meeting.

Wang Tao, Deputy General Manager of CABR Foundation and chief editor of the Standard, delivered a speech on behalf of the lead editing organization, expressing gratitude to the leaders and experts for their guidance and support, and introducing an overview of the Standard's development. Zhao Zhipeng of CABR Foundation, on behalf of the drafting group, gave a detailed report on the Standard's drafting process, chapter structure, drafting approach, main content, and solicitation of comments. The expert review panel carefully listened to the drafting group's report, reviewed the content of the Standard item by item, held in-depth discussions on certain provisions, provided specific revision suggestions, and finally unanimously agreed that the Standard passed the review.

During the development of the Standard, the drafting group conducted extensive research, referenced relevant domestic and international materials, summarized China's experience in soft soil engineering practice over recent decades, and incorporated current theoretical research, advanced technologies, and engineering application achievements in soft soil investigation, design, construction, and monitoring. The draft for review features reasonable main technical content and provides a technical basis for soft soil investigation, design, construction, and monitoring. The Standard is coordinated with existing relevant standards, highly operable, and has reached the international advanced level.
