Recently, CCCC Xizhu's first plateau-region integrated photovoltaic-storage heating pilot project was successfully completed and put into operation, marking a new breakthrough for the company in green, low-carbon and smart energy construction.

The project was undertaken by the Energy and Environmental Protection Technology Branch of CCCC Xizhu. Located in northern Tibet Autonomous Region at an average altitude of over 4,000 meters, the project covers a photovoltaic installation area of 2,520 m² and provides a stable supply of electricity and heat for three village committees.

Local village officials stationed there said: the villages where they work and live have a plateau climate, with severe cold and oxygen deficiency, and temperature differences between day and night often exceeding 20°C. The village committee offices have long had indoor temperatures below 0°C in winter, making heating a major problem; hot water for washing is also intermittent, and taking a shower has become a luxury.

Aiming at this livelihood challenge, CCCC Xizhu and the local government carried out in-depth cooperation to advance the integrated photovoltaic-storage heating project. Making full use of the abundant sunshine resources in the plateau region, the project was customized to the working and living scenarios of the stationed village officials. It not only enables the village committees to achieve electricity self-sufficiency, but the graphene underfloor heating system also keeps indoor temperatures constant above 18°C. The addition of shower facilities has made "taking a hot shower" a daily routine on the plateau, genuinely providing the stationed officials and villagers with a more comfortable and healthy living environment.
