In active response to the national "Going Global" strategy and to deepen international exchange and cooperation, the China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF) held the Seminar on "Going Global" Business Development for Machinery Industry Enterprises in Beijing on February 17, 2025. The seminar aims to help member enterprises expand into overseas markets through international platforms and to explore feasible cooperation models. President Xu Niansha attended the seminar and delivered opening remarks. The seminar invited Dr. Holger Bingmann, Vice Chairman of the ICC Global Executive Board and Founder and CEO of a Middle East think tank company, along with his team members, to exchange views with the Chinese side.

President Xu Niansha noted that at a series of recent meetings, including the symposium with former leaders and ministers, the symposium with government departments, and the symposium of the Expert Committee, participants unanimously emphasized the key role of international platforms in the process of enterprise internationalization and put forward many constructive opinions and expectations. This seminar aims, under the new and complex international situation, to explore innovative approaches and methods, focusing on the theme of "serving members and supporting enterprises in going global" and, in line with CMIF's working purpose of the "four services," to further explore implementation paths for promoting the international development of enterprises.

President Xu Niansha further noted that the Federation not only focuses on promoting Chinese machinery industry enterprises to go global, but is also committed to bringing high-quality foreign resources and enterprises into China, promoting two-way exchange and cooperation. He expressed the hope that Dr. Holger Bingmann could leverage his influence as Vice Chairman of the ICC Global Executive Board and Chairman of the German National Committee, and make full use of the rich and extensive global resources of the International Chamber of Commerce and national committees of various countries, to support the internationalization of China's machinery industry and help enterprises overcome challenges encountered in going global, such as international commercial, legal, and arbitration services.

Dr. Holger Bingmann introduced the International Chamber of Commerce and the Middle East think tank company, emphasizing his team's rich resources and experience in Germany, the Middle East, and other international markets. He expressed willingness to provide professional support to Chinese machinery industry enterprises to help them expand overseas business, especially in areas such as market access, standard setting, and partner selection. Dr. Bingmann repeatedly expressed his willingness to become an all-weather partner and ambassador for China's machinery industry, actively promoting Chinese enterprises and supporting their internationalization efforts.

Relevant leaders from nine specialized associations, including machine tools, plastics machinery, agricultural machinery, construction machinery, heat treatment, general machinery, electrical engineering, petrochemicals, and automobiles, attended the seminar and delivered speeches. They engaged in in-depth exchanges on the development status, import and export conditions, and global market distribution patterns of their respective industries, as well as the opportunities and challenges, difficulties, and demands faced by enterprises in exploring overseas markets. Representatives of the associations stated that by participating in such activities, industry enterprises can gain broader access to overseas market information and obtain the latest international market trends and policy information in a timely manner, thereby providing precise policy guidance and professional advice for industry enterprises going global, helping them better cope with various challenges in the international market and achieve higher-quality and more sustainable international development. They expressed the hope that CMIF will organize more such activities in the future.

Sun Yuanyuan, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Department of CMIF, chaired the meeting. Liu Hongyu, Director of the Membership Work Department, and relevant personnel from the International Cooperation Department attended the meeting.
