CEEC Focuses on New Quality Productive Forces in Energy

CEEC 2025 will be grandly held from March 26 to 28, 2025, at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. As China's first multi-category professional expo dedicated to the clean energy equipment industry chain, CEEC has been successfully held 14 times since its inception in 2009. It has now developed into the preferred platform for government departments to understand the development of the clean energy industry, for domestic and international clean energy industry exchanges and cooperation, for central (state-owned) power enterprises to select and centrally procure new energy equipment, and for the public to learn about the current status and future trends of clean energy development.

The theme of this expo is "Focusing on New Quality Productive Forces in Energy, Greening the Power Ecological Supply Chain." It looks ahead to the clean energy development direction under the 14th Five-Year Plan, promotes green and low-carbon energy transformation, and helps achieve the "dual carbon" goals.

In his speech, Liu Yongdong shared the latest developments in China's energy and power industry. He stated that the China Electricity Council is willing to work hand in hand with all parties, taking the Clean Energy Expo as an opportunity to build the image of the power industry, showcase achievements in clean energy technology and equipment, aim at the frontiers of global energy science and technology, focus on the needs of key energy fields, and promote the development of new quality productive forces, so as to make new and greater contributions to building a new energy system and a new-type power system, advancing the low-carbon transformation of economic and social development, and achieving the "dual carbon" goals.

Xu Guangbin gave a detailed introduction to the overall planning of CEEC 2025. The expo features three special exhibitions and a comprehensive exhibition area: the 2025 China International Photovoltaic Innovation and Application Exhibition, the 3rd China Energy Storage Conference and Exhibition, and the 4th China International Hydrogen Energy and Fuel Cell Industry Exhibition. These will promote deep integration of horizontal coordination and vertical linkage among industries and accelerate the pace of coordinated development in the photovoltaic, energy storage, hydrogen, and power sectors.

In his remarks, Dai Siyuan mentioned that the photovoltaic industry is facing two new challenges. With the release of the "Measures for the Development and Construction Management of Distributed Photovoltaic Power Generation" and the "Notice on Deepening the Market-Oriented Reform of New Energy On-grid Electricity Prices to Promote High-Quality Development of New Energy," new requirements have been set for industry development. In the current environment, the association hopes to truly create an exhibition platform that combines manufacturing and application through the 2025 China International Photovoltaic Innovation and Application Exhibition.

Ma Xiaoguang focused on the preparations for the 3rd China Energy Storage Conference. He pointed out that energy storage is an important support for building a new-type power system and a key technology for achieving the "dual carbon" goals. The theme of the 3rd China Energy Storage Conference is "Aligning with the Pulse of Power, Unleashing the Momentum of Energy Storage." The main forum will feature expert dialogues on the impact of new energy policies on the energy storage industry. Four special forums will also be held: "Energy Storage Planning and Effective Utilization," "Energy Storage Technology Innovation," "Energy Storage Safety Prevention and Control," and "Electric Vehicle Charging Facility Technology and Standards." More than 50 authoritative industry experts will be invited to exchange views on hot industry topics.

Platform Leads the Trend of the Clean Energy Industry

At the press conference, the China Photovoltaic Industry Association presented for the first time the development of China's photovoltaic industry in 2024. The manufacturing segment maintained year-on-year growth, and the application segment also maintained rapid growth. Specifically, in 2024, new photovoltaic installations reached 277.57 GW, a year-on-year increase of 28.33%, and cumulative installations reached 885.68 GW, maintaining a high installation level but with slower growth.

It is reported that the 3rd China Energy Storage Conference will share industry development prospects and release relevant results. First, it will release the "2024 Electrochemical Energy Storage Station Industry Statistics," the only publicly shared authoritative statistical data in the industry with a relatively comprehensive scope, which will comprehensively analyze the installed capacity, operation, energy efficiency, and safety of energy storage stations in 2024. Second, it will release "Typical Cases of Electrochemical Energy Storage Innovation and Application." This is the first time the China Electricity Council has publicly solicited typical cases in the electrochemical energy storage industry, aiming to provide reference for innovative application practices in the industry. Third, in response to hot topics of industry concern, and around the "Notice on Deepening the Market-Oriented Reform of New Energy On-grid Electricity Prices to Promote High-Quality Development of New Energy," power generation enterprises, grid companies, and equipment enterprises will be invited to jointly discuss the impact of new energy policies on the energy storage industry, providing reference for the industry's subsequent development.

In addition, several industry conferences held concurrently, including the 2025 Economic Situation and Power Development Analysis and Forecast Conference, will deeply analyze China's macroeconomic development situation, the green transformation of energy and power, and the innovative development trends of various industries, making every effort to advance the construction of a new energy system and a new-type power system, accelerate the formation of new quality productive forces, and serve high-quality economic and social development.

Multi-Party Support Provides Chinese Green Experience for Global Energy Development

During the expo, several high-level international exchange activities will be held, such as the International Investment Summit, technical seminars, and international cooperation signing ceremonies. These activities will bring together top experts, business leaders, and policymakers from the global energy field to jointly discuss international clean energy development and global energy transformation.

As of the press conference, the expo had received registrations from exhibitors, guests, and visitors from more than 60 countries and regions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain, Russia, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong (China), and Taiwan (China). A total of 46 international exhibitors have confirmed participation, bringing globally leading clean energy technologies and solutions, covering 11 countries and regions worldwide, with international exhibitors accounting for more than 10%.

In addition, CEEC 2025 will host more than 40 new product launch events, covering cutting-edge technologies and application scenarios in multiple fields such as photovoltaics, energy storage, hydrogen energy, and power. Through technology displays and expert presentations, it will showcase the latest achievements in clean energy technology. In addition, platforms such as business matchmaking meetings will be provided for enterprises to promote the market-oriented application and promotion of clean energy technologies, empower green and low-carbon transformation, and help achieve the "dual carbon" goals.

Digital and Intelligent Exhibition Comprehensively Enhances Service Experience

CEEC 2025 has newly created an exhibitor service system and a mini-program digital intelligence platform, striving to provide all-round, intelligent, and personalized services for exhibitors, visitors, and partners across the entire chain before, during, and after the expo. Among them, the mini-program digital intelligence platform is a service, marketing, and interaction platform integrating AI digital intelligence and the industrial ecological chain. It can achieve optimal allocation of expo resources, create an efficient and convenient new digital exhibition ecosystem, and create greater value for participants.

At the press conference, Wang Hong stated that in the future, platform functions will continue to be optimized, expo efficiency and service levels will be improved, the exhibitor experience will be reshaped, and the overall value of the expo will be comprehensively enhanced. It is believed that CEEC 2025, through the comprehensive empowerment of digital intelligence services and meticulous preparation, will become a new engine for cooperation and development in the clean energy industry, inject new vitality into the vigorous development of the clean energy industry, and push global energy transformation and sustainable development to a new level.

From March 26 to 28, CEEC 2025 sincerely invites elites from the global clean energy industry to gather at the China National Convention Center in Beijing to witness the latest achievements and development trends in the clean energy field and jointly promote a green energy future.
