Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology publicly announced the 2024 Green Manufacturing List. Weichai Heavy Machinery, a subsidiary of Shandong Heavy Industry, was successfully recognized as a national-level "Green Factory" for its outstanding performance in green manufacturing, energy conservation and carbon reduction, resource recycling, and other fields. Previously, Weichai Power, Shacman, Fast Gear, Hande Axle, Lovol Smart Agriculture, and Weichai Torch Technology had successively been selected as national-level "Green Factories."

The national-level "Green Factory" selection is organized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and is a core supporting program of China's green manufacturing system. It aims to select demonstration enterprises that have reached industry-leading levels in intensive land use, harmless raw materials, clean production, resource-based waste utilization, and low-carbon energy.

Shandong Heavy Industry will fully leverage its role as a benchmark and exemplar in the green manufacturing industry, driving energy conservation and environmental protection through technological innovation, integrating digitalization, intelligentization, and green manufacturing throughout the entire production process, introducing clean energy, and boosting green, low-carbon, and high-quality development.
