On February 17, the world's largest variable-amplitude pile-driving vessel, the "Erhang Changqing," set sail from Nantong, Jiangsu, bound for the Hangzhou Bay Cross-Sea Railway Bridge to support the construction of world-class deep-sea cross-sea bridges and offshore wind power and other marine engineering projects.
"Erhang Changqing"
The "Erhang Changqing" was invested in by CCCC Second Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd. and built by Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries. It is currently the pile-driving vessel with the highest pile frame, the largest pile-lifting capacity, the longest pile-driving length, and the strongest wind and wave resistance in the world. It has an overall length of 130.5 meters, a molded breadth of 40.8 meters, a molded depth of 8.4 meters, and a pile frame height of 150 meters, and can drive pile foundations with a maximum pile weight of 700 tons and a diameter of 7 meters.
Its core equipment, the hydraulic cylinder, weighs 385 tons, has a diameter of nearly 2 meters and an overall length of 28 meters, ranking first in the world in weight, diameter and length. It was developed under the leadership of CCCC Second Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd., achieving domestic substitution for super-large and ultra-long hydraulic cylinders and independent control of core technologies.
The "Erhang Changqing" leads in technology and also performs excellently in environmental protection and intelligentization. The vessel adopts a DC bus super energy storage system, combined with high-efficiency permanent magnet motors, greatly reducing energy consumption and significantly cutting carbon emissions. It is equipped with an advanced pile-driving operation management system and a pile-driving positioning system with offshore star-station differential functionality, enabling automatic calculation and real-time monitoring of pile positioning accuracy to ensure the safety and efficiency of pile-driving operations.
"Erhang Changqing"
In the future, with its advantages of accurate, safe and efficient pile driving, the "Erhang Changqing" will become an important force in the construction of deep-sea cross-sea bridges, offshore wind power and other marine engineering projects, further consolidating China's leading position in the global marine engineering market.
