Recently, the 150 MW wind power project in Linquan Shanqiao, Anhui Province, undertaken by Sinohydro Bureau 9 Co., Ltd. under Power Construction Corporation of China (POWERCHINA), has successfully achieved the goal of full-capacity grid-connected power generation, actively promoting the green and low-carbon transformation of the local energy structure.

The project is located within Linquan County, Fuyang City, Anhui Province, covering nearly two-thirds of the area of Linquan County. The wind turbine positions involve 13 townships, and the total length of the collector lines is approximately 160 kilometers. The designed total installed capacity of the project is 150 MW, with 30 wind turbine generator units of 5 MW each installed. The hub height of the wind turbine units is 160 meters, the rotor diameter is 191 meters, and a hybrid tower structure is adopted. A 150 MW/150 MWh energy storage power station was built simultaneously with the booster station.

Since the commencement of construction, in the face of many challenges such as tight equipment supply and difficulties in large-component transportation, the project construction team organized and planned in advance, formulated scientific and detailed engineering schedules and organizational plans, laid out the overall arrangement, made overall coordination, and reasonably allocated resources such as personnel, equipment, and machinery. Through progress deviation analysis meetings, the construction plan was adjusted in a timely manner to ensure the controllability and predictability of the project progress. The on-site management team of the project anchored itself to the high-quality construction task, effectively communicated and closely cooperated with the owner unit and all participating parties, accurately formulated strategies, steadily advanced the project progress, and smoothly helped the project achieve the goal of full-capacity grid connection.

After the project is completed and put into operation, it can replace 112,200 tons of standard coal annually and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 306,000 tons, equivalent to reforesting 1,667 hectares; the supporting 150 MW/150 MWh energy storage power station effectively enhances the peak-shaving capacity of the regional power grid by 12%, playing a positive role in promoting the green and low-carbon transformation of Anhui Province's energy structure and advancing the high-quality development of the local economy and society.
