After the Spring Festival holiday, all walks of life have begun to return to their normal production pace. The reporter learned from the Jiading District Construction and Management Commission that the district-level major project that started construction in May 2024—the e14-4 plot high school (Jiayi Experimental High School)—is now under normal construction and has become the first major project in the district to fully resume work and production after the Spring Festival.

On the morning of February 10, the reporter saw at the construction site located on the southwest side of the intersection of Shuangding Road and Wenquan Road that the overall appearance of the school buildings had begun to take shape, with workers busy on all work fronts. Wei Qinghai, head of the engineering department of the developer Jiading New City Development Co., Ltd., introduced that construction projects in the past would not gradually resume until workers returned after the Lantern Festival. To ensure the progress of this livelihood project, workers on this project began returning in succession from February 5, and the construction status was gradually restored.

"On February 4, the seventh day of the first lunar month, all management personnel at the site were in place and began preparations such as safety inspections before resuming work. On the eighth day of the first lunar month, workers began to return and gradually started on-site operations. At present, 240 workers are on site, and work has fully resumed," Wei Qinghai introduced.

Jiayi Experimental High School officially started construction at the end of May 2024. The project includes a teaching building, a gymnasium, a laboratory building, a logistics building, and a 14-story student apartment, with a total construction area of about 55,000 square meters. As a major social undertaking project that has attracted much attention, the completed Jiayi Experimental High School will have a scale of 36 classes and be able to enroll up to about 1,620 students. The developer introduced that the main structure was topped out before the Spring Festival, and at present the main construction work has shifted to indoor secondary structural masonry.

"The internal secondary structural masonry has reached about 50%, and next we will press ahead with interior decoration and outdoor overall construction. We will also go all out to advance the construction progress, complete and deliver the project as soon as possible, and better serve the development of Jiading's education cause," Wei Qinghai said.

The District Construction and Management Commission said it will further promote the start of continued projects and a new batch of newly built projects, using the "accelerated run" of infrastructure to advance the pace of Jiading's new round of urban construction.
