Crackling firecrackers bid farewell to the old year, and clusters of fireworks celebrate the new year. While we celebrate the Spring Festival at home, there is a group of Bureau Four employees on the overseas front lines, interpreting a different kind of "festive flavor" with responsibility and dedication.

During the Spring Festival, all cadres and employees of the Angola Branch of Sinohydro Bureau 4 remained at their overseas posts, focusing on key projects such as the Cunene Drought Relief Project Section IV, strictly controlling the delivery of construction materials, striving for smooth project operation and ensuring on-schedule completion. In addition, all employees actively participated in bidding, strengthened market research, and surveyed key provinces such as Malanje and Lunda Norte to "open up new sources" for overseas business. They interpret their passion through dedication, braving difficulties and forging ahead to contribute to the high-quality development of the company's international business.

According to the plan, during the Spring Festival the irrigation district of the La Paz Water Supply Project in Bolivia carried out construction activities including valve chamber heightening, pipe hot-melting, secondary plugging, and valve and fitting installation, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent impoundment of the dam. To address the impact of continuous rainfall, the project department planned ahead and reduced rainfall constraints through measures such as covering construction materials and rainproof grounding for temporary power, fully advancing construction progress. At present, the earth dam and gravity dam meet impoundment conditions, the irrigation district is gradually achieving its water supply target, and the gradual installation of electrical equipment at the water treatment plant has laid the foundation for single-unit commissioning.

All employees of the Bolivia Ivirizu Hydropower Station Project Department remained on the front line, sounding the charge for the project's sprint through their dedication. During the Spring Festival, they successively completed key processes such as excavation of the diversion tunnel on the left bank of the dam and bored piles for the dam section. Through scientific planning and proactive pressure, the project's progress is currently 17 days ahead of the original schedule, laying a solid foundation for the final subsequent construction of the dam.

The Chile project is in a critical preparatory period. The project team took advantage of the golden period before the project contract signing to conduct thorough research and active negotiations on key links such as the establishment of the project's localized organizational structure, licensing subcontracting, and design subcontracting. Preparatory work has made major progress, providing strong guarantees for the smooth subsequent performance of the project.

Behind this dedication during the Spring Festival is the common belief of countless overseas builders: for the success of the projects and for the rooting of the Belt and Road Initiative, they are willing to give up family reunions and choose to write their own chapters of struggle in foreign lands, building extraordinary monuments with ordinary bodies.
