In the joyful season of the Spring Festival of the Year of the Yi Si Snake,Northern Heavy Industries (NHI)'s factory area was bustling with activity. Many frontline workers, in order to ensure the smooth progress of key projects, stayed at their posts, interpreting responsibility and commitment through their sweat and dedication.

Walking into NHI's assembly workshop, workers were methodically disassembling the first domestically produced 5.5-meter rotary shear sizing shear; after the holiday, this equipment will be shipped to the customer site to serve China's steel industry. To ensure on-time delivery of the equipment, frontline assembly workers worked continuously at their posts for many days, organizing disassembly and packing according to the packing list and installation sequence, making preparations for shipment.

In the machining workshop, Hu Jianfeng was busy under pressure; amid flying sparks, he focused intently on the equipment display screen, ensuring every data point was precise and error-free. "During the Spring Festival, although I can't be with my family, being able to contribute to our key projects puts my mind at ease," Hu Jianfeng's plain words expressed the sentiments of many frontline workers.

In the welding workshop of the structural parts branch factory, arcs flickered and welding sparks flew; welders overcame temperatures of minus 25°C, sweating profusely to deliver products on time. For some products, the welding positions were relatively low, so workers crawled on the steel plates and worked continuously for more than 2 hours. "Although conditions are tough, we believe that as long as everyone holds the belief of breathing as one and a hundred people holding one gun, we will certainly complete the task and hand over the work at hand beautifully to the customer," said Meng Fanwu, a cold-work fitter at the structural parts branch factory, earnestly.

It is understood that since the beginning of 2025, multiple key projects of NHI have entered concentrated production. To ensure production progress, nearly a thousand person-times stayed on the production frontline during the Spring Festival. Among them are experienced veteran masters as well as young new forces; everyone worked together in close coordination, striving toward a common goal.
