From January 8 to January 13, the Gessipo-Bopoli Hydropower Station in Côte d'Ivoire successfully completed temporary acceptance and entered the warranty period.

The Gessipo-Bopoli Hydropower Station is located in the southwestern part of Côte d'Ivoire, on the middle and lower reaches of the Sassandra River. It is the third-level station in the "one reservoir, six cascades" development plan for the Sassandra River Basin, and the second large-scale China-Côte d'Ivoire cooperative hydropower project constructed by Sinohydro Bureau 5 Co., Ltd. under an EPC general contract in Côte d'Ivoire. The station is equipped with 3 bulb turbine units, each with a capacity of 37.63 MW, a total installed capacity of 112.9 MW, a total reservoir capacity of 82 million cubic meters, and an average annual power generation of 535 GWh. It is a daily regulation hydropower station.  

In terms of energy supply, the station can add 554 million kWh of clean electricity to Côte d'Ivoire each year, greatly alleviating the country's long-standing power shortage and providing stable and reliable energy security for economic development and residents' daily life. From the perspective of economic development, an adequate power supply will strongly drive the development of various sectors in Côte d'Ivoire, including industrial production and commercial activities, create a large number of job opportunities, and spur sustained economic growth. In addition, as a large-scale China-Côte d'Ivoire cooperative hydropower project, the successful construction of the Gessipo-Bopoli Hydropower Station has further deepened the China-Côte d'Ivoire strategic partnership, set a model for cooperation between the two countries in infrastructure construction, energy and other fields, and enhanced friendly exchanges and cooperation between the two countries.

The successful entry of the Gessipo-Bopoli Hydropower Station into the warranty period demonstrates another solid contract performance achievement by PowerChina in the West and Central African market, and has laid a solid foundation for continuing to advance the preliminary work of the Pudupuri project and for the sustained development of the West and Central African market.
