Recently, the Jiangsu Association for Science and Technology issued the "Notice on Announcing the Results of the 2024 High-Quality Development Assessment of Societies Affiliated with the Provincial Association for Science and Technology." In the 2024 high-quality development assessment, 164 societies participated, and the Jiangsu Society for Geotechnical Mechanics and Engineering was recognized as a Class II society with a Grade A rating. At the same time, the "Academic Exchange" activity "The 11th Jiangsu Province Geotechnical Mechanics and Engineering Academic Conference and Low-Carbon Geotechnical Technology Forum," a capacity-building plan project declared by the society, was recognized by the Provincial Association for Science and Technology.

In 2024, under the guidance of the Provincial Association for Science and Technology and with the support of its many council members and members, the society focused on its main responsibilities and core work of "four services and one strengthening," reinforced Party building leadership, strengthened organizational development, enhanced its capacity to serve members, and actively carried out a series of activities including academic exchanges, professional technical services, science popularization, technical training, science and technology awards, transformation and promotion of achievements, and talent recommendation, achieving notable results. In particular, the Jiangsu Province Geotechnical Mechanics and Engineering Annual Academic Conference, the Academician Qian Qihu Lecture Series, and the professional technical consulting and evaluation services it carried out have had broad social influence and have been highly recognized by the competent authorities and society.

In 2025, the society will actively plan and carry out various tasks, pioneer and innovate in fulfilling its "four services" functions, strengthen the development of the society, enhance its service capacity, further promote high-quality development of the society, and make greater contributions to building a new Jiangsu that is "strong, prosperous, beautiful, and high-level."
