On January 20, the Yunnan Gejiu Distributed Photovoltaic Power Generation Project invested and constructed by PowerChina New Energy Company achieved its first batch of grid-connected power generation, welcoming the new year with outstanding results and strongly supporting the company in getting off to a good start and making solid progress in 2025.

The Gejiu Distributed Photovoltaic Power Generation Project in Yunnan Province is located in Gejiu City, Honghe Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It is the first photovoltaic project built by PowerChina New Energy Company in Gejiu City, distributed across 5 subdistricts and offices and 8 townships in Gejiu City. The project makes full use of rooftops of resettlement housing communities, industrial plants and other commercial and industrial complexes, Party and government organs, and schools in Gejiu City for the installation of photovoltaic modules.

The project uses a rooftop area of approximately 586,000 square meters and is designed to adopt 625-watt single-sided monocrystalline silicon photovoltaic modules and string inverters, connected to the grid at a voltage level of 400 volts on the low-voltage side or 10 kilowatts, and adopts two grid-connection modes: "full feed-in to the grid" and "self-generation for self-consumption with surplus power fed into the grid." After completion, the project can provide approximately 153.7446 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually, save approximately 46,400 tons of standard coal, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 123,300 tons and sulfur dioxide emissions by approximately 24.57 tons, playing a positive role in reducing carbon emissions and supporting local green and low-carbon development.
