On January 17, the PowerChina Municipal Corporation's Kenya Rural Roads Lot 607 Project completed the phased handover of the first three milestones covering 24 kilometers of road, officially entering the defect liability period.

The Kenya Rural Roads Lot 607 Project is located in Kiambu County, Kenya, with a total length of 90 kilometers. The first three milestones are situated in busy urban commercial districts, where the existing roads are narrow, the population is dense, and traffic volumes are high; base and subbase materials are scarce and haul distances are long, and overhead power lines are complex in some sections, making construction highly challenging. Faced with these difficulties, the project department carried out overall planning, rationally allocated personnel and equipment resources, and formulated and optimized the construction plan. In response to delays in payment by the client, the project department took the initiative, holding multiple consultations and communications with the client to urge payment of part of the project funds, thereby ensuring the smooth completion of construction for the first three milestones.

Next, the project department will maintain its high morale, review its work approach, formulate detailed measures, and carry out construction of the remaining works in a scientific and rational manner, striving to advance the project toward completion and contract performance on schedule.
