On January 18, the "PowerChina Zhiyuan" 1,600-ton self-propelled jack-up offshore wind turbine installation platform returned smoothly and docked at the Nantong Zhenhua Heavy Equipment wharf. With this, both types of offshore wind power vessels of PowerChina Port and Waterway Company have completed all offshore sea trial tasks.

The "PowerChina Zhiyuan" has an overall length of 123.95 meters, a molded breadth of 48 meters, and a molded depth of 9.5 meters. It has a maximum lifting capacity of 1,600 tons, a lifting height of up to 177 meters above the deck, a jacking system leg length of 125 meters, and a maximum operating water depth of 70 meters. It is suitable for installing wind turbines below 20 MW and has the transport capacity to carry two sets of wind turbine equipment and large pile foundations at one time. It is a major offshore construction tool integrating transport, self-elevation, self-propulsion, lifting, installation, and dynamic positioning.

The successful completion of the sea trials marks that the delivery of the two "offshore heavy equipment" units, "PowerChina Zhigao" and "PowerChina Zhiyuan," has been put on the agenda, helping the Group achieve the goal of "full coverage" of offshore wind power construction equipment types.
