Recently, XCMG's XLC18000 (1,350-tonne class) crawler crane made its debut at a wind power equipment testing and certification innovation base in northern China, successfully completing the lifting task for the "Qihang" (Set Sail), the world's largest single-unit-capacity 20MW floating offshore wind turbine test unit.

This achievement marks another industry milestone created by the XLC18000 in the wind power sector, once again demonstrating the powerful, efficient and reliable hard-core strength of XCMG cranes.

At the construction site, the XLC18000 operated in a 156+12m super-lift wind power configuration, smoothly hoisting a 126m-long blade to a height of 145m and precisely docking it with the nacelle. The tower, nacelle and rotor were all installed successfully in a single lift.
Intelligent control technology enabled efficient, convenient and precise operation. The entire lifting process was safe and efficient, earning unanimous praise from the project team. This is not only recognition of the XLC18000's performance, but also acknowledgment of the efficient strength of "Intelligent Manufacturing in China."

During the lifting process, the XLC18000 demonstrated strong power reserves and reliable operating capability. Its dual-power, dual-hydraulic system ensures continuous and reliable operation of the product, while the integrated turntable and integrated frame design saved more than 3 hours of single-assembly time. The main luffing and super-lift luffing systems are dismantled, assembled and transported as one unit, significantly shortening on-site construction time and providing solid support for the rapid advancement of the project.

As the crane with the strongest overall performance in its tonnage class, the XLC18000 has delivered outstanding results in numerous highly challenging projects. It has successively completed the filling and completion renovation of a 350t urea gasification unit, the lifting of a 183m onshore hybrid-tower wind turbine, and the installation of the main tower limbs of a 963m-long river-crossing bridge, becoming benchmark equipment for complex working conditions and demanding construction environments.
The successful lifting of this 20MW floating offshore wind turbine once again confirms the XLC18000's superior adaptability and outstanding lifting capability, setting a new benchmark for the global wind power sector.

In the future, XCMG will continue to deepen its presence in high-end equipment manufacturing, driving the development of the global new energy industry through technological innovation and contributing more "Intelligent Manufacturing in China" strength to promoting green transformation and building a sustainable energy future.
