Cold start calibration of combustion parameters at low temperatures simulates the customer's real operating environment to ensure engine starting performance in extreme conditions, which is crucial for improving the reliability and efficiency of the vehicle in actual operation.

The YCK16LN gas engine adopts an ultra-low-temperature-resistant fuel supply system and a self-developed control system, and creatively applies a dedicated low-temperature drive mode for the injectors, ensuring that the engine can operate normally in extreme environments down to -42°C. In addition, the use of low-temperature air models and fuel model algorithms enables precise control of the optimal air-fuel ratio for cold start; combined with the implementation of a high-precision phase algorithm during the starting phase, it quickly identifies the optimal ignition and gas injection timing, ensuring that the YCK16LN high-horsepower gas engine has outstanding cold start capability.

At the same time, Yuchai recently also continued to carry out cold start tests on the YCK09L diesel engine. Through verification of multiple solutions such as a high-power starter, low-inertia flywheel, and high-power preheating grid, as well as optimization of the start control strategy, the cold start capability of the YCK09L model has been significantly improved, truly achieving a successful single start at -40°C without auxiliary aids, once again demonstrating the strong adaptability of Yuchai engines in extreme environments.
