On January 14 local time, North Macedonian Prime Minister Mickoski attended the opening ceremony of the rear section of the FD Expressway, joining all the construction workers to witness this milestone moment.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mickoski said that the smooth opening of the rear section of the FD Expressway is inseparable from the hard work and unremitting efforts of the builders. It undoubtedly adds joy to the New Year and is a New Year gift to the people of North Macedonia. As a transport artery connecting the city of Kavadarci and the city of Prilep, the FD Expressway not only runs through the central and southern parts of North Macedonia, but also serves as an important lever for driving coordinated development between the central and southwestern regions of the country. The opening of the section from the Drenovo interchange to Gredsko this time will greatly optimize the travel experience of local residents and inject strong momentum into the vigorous development of the regional economy.

It is reported that the FD Expressway project has a total length of 10.197 kilometers. At present, the main works of the front section of the project have been fully completed, and slope dangerous rock protection construction is being carried out intensively. By then, the journey from Gredsko to Prilep will be significantly shortened, and the transport network between central and southwestern North Macedonia will be further improved, bringing more convenient travel experience to the people of the country.
