On January 9, Caterpillar celebrated its 100th anniversary across multiple locations in the United States, commemorating this important moment in the company's history. As an iconic manufacturing enterprise, Caterpillar will officially mark its centennial on April 15. For a century, Caterpillar has consistently adhered to customer-centered innovation, continuously driving industry transformation.

In 1925, Holt Manufacturing Company and C.L. Best Tractor Company merged to form Caterpillar Tractor Company. From the launch of its first crawler tractor that year to pull combine harvesters in Northern California, to today providing autonomous construction machinery, mining equipment, and engines to empower the world, Caterpillar's products and services have helped customers complete numerous infrastructure projects and advanced global modernization.

"Caterpillar's success over the past 100 years embodies the efforts and dedication of all employees, the long-term trust of customers, and the support of dealers and partners. I am proud to lead such a strong team. I firmly believe that in the next 100 years, Caterpillar will continue to help customers build a better, more sustainable world."

The celebration events were held in Sanford, North Carolina, and Peoria, Illinois. At Caterpillar's global headquarters in Irving, Texas, family members of Caterpillar founders C.L. Best and Benjamin Holt gathered with company leaders and employees to celebrate Caterpillar's first century of continuous innovation and to embark on a new journey into the next century.

On the same day, the Centennial World Tour officially began its journey, traveling to Caterpillar's factories around the world and providing immersive interactive experiences for employees and guests. To commemorate this milestone, Caterpillar will also release limited-edition equipment in "Centennial Gray" paint in 2025.
