From December 27 to 31, four photovoltaic (PV) projects in the Xishuangbanna area of Yunnan Province (totaling 320 MW) achieved full commissioning and officially began delivering clean energy to the grid.
Among them, the 110 MW Dapingzhang PV power project in Mengwang Township, Jinghong City, covers an area of about 3,278 mu and adopts a "tea-PV complementary" model, with more than 240,000 monocrystalline bifacial PV modules installed across 41 arrays. Sinohydro Bureau 9 is responsible for the construction of the PV field, booster station and other works. After commissioning, the project is expected to generate about 230 million kWh annually, with an annual utilization of 1,396 hours, saving about 58,000 tonnes of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 145,000 tonnes per year.
The 75 MW Mangelong PV power project in Puwen Township, Jinghong City, covers an area of about 1,472 mu and adopts a "tea-PV complementary" model, with more than 164,000 monocrystalline bifacial PV modules installed across 26 arrays. Sinohydro Bureau 9 is responsible for the construction of the PV field, booster station and other works. After commissioning, the project is expected to generate up to 125 million kWh annually, with an annual utilization of 1,295.5 hours, saving 38,000 tonnes of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 103,000 tonnes per year.
The 70 MW Tengmieshan Phase II PV project in Guanlei Township, Mengla County, covers an area of about 1,430 mu, with 22 arrays and more than 149,000 monocrystalline silicon bifacial double-glass modules installed. Sinohydro Bureau 9 is responsible for the construction of the PV field, booster station and other works. After commissioning, the project's average annual equivalent utilization hours will be 1,358.59 hours, with an average annual on-grid electricity of about 95.1013 million kWh, saving about 31,200 tonnes of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 77,800 tonnes per year.
The 65 MW Yunpan PV power project in Puwen Township, Jinghong City, covers an area of about 1,414 mu and adopts a "PV + coffee" model, with 22 arrays and more than 138,000 monocrystalline bifacial PV modules installed. Sinohydro Bureau 9 is responsible for the construction of the PV field, booster station and other works. After commissioning, the project's annual equivalent available hours will be 1,343.61 hours, with an expected annual generation of up to 87 million kWh, reducing standard coal by 28,600 tonnes and carbon dioxide emissions by 71,300 tonnes per year on average.
Once the four projects are in operation, they will provide a steady supply of clean electricity to the local area, effectively easing pressure on regional energy supply, promoting a comprehensive green transformation of regional economic and social development, and accelerating the construction of Yunnan's new energy system.
