Recently, the first section of the Fujian Zhangzhou Jiulong River Basin (High-tech Section) South Bank Riparian Ecological Belt Restoration and Enhancement Project, undertaken by PowerChina Chengdu Engineering Corporation on an EPC basis, officially opened as Longjiang Suiyue Park, becoming a new ecological and cultural calling card for Zhangzhou.

As a sub-project of the Zhangzhou High-tech Zone Green Development Ecological Governance Project, the project is located on the south bank of the West Stream of the Jiulong River in Zhangzhou, Fujian Province, stretching 8.6 kilometers from Zhangzhou Bridge in the west to the Longjiang Song Scenic Area in the east, and is closely adjacent to the Zhangzhou Station Front Headquarters Economy Industrial Park. From design to construction, the project team consistently upheld advanced ecological concepts, deeply integrated village culture, and tailored measures to local conditions to create five themed zones: Splendid Pastoral Fields, Danxi Guantian, City Balcony, Riverside Fish Song, and Dragon Boat Memory. It revitalized and utilized 12 distinctive buildings including the Dragon Boat Science Museum, fully connected and implemented five-edge, 13-bridge structures such as Wanggui Bridge and Yidai Bridge, and reinforced and renovated 8.6 kilometers of shoreline, painting a new picture of clear water and beautiful scenery on the south bank and sounding a vibrant melody along the Jiulong River.

Today, the south bank of the Jiulong River is radiating unprecedented vitality and vigor. The once-barren riverbank now features rippling blue waves and shady green trees, becoming a haven for citizens' souls and a paradise of nature. It meets the people's new demand for waterfront spaces where they can 'gaze at the river, get close to the water, and touch the greenery,' realizes the transformation and upgrading of the riverbank shoreline into an ecological living shoreline, and fulfills the beautiful vision of 'returning the river to the people, returning the banks to the people, and returning the scenery to the people.' The opening of the first section on the south bank will surely comprehensively optimize the riverside image of the south bank and powerfully drive urban industrial upgrading and spatial quality improvement.
