At 9:05 a.m. Beijing time on January 7, a magnitude-6.8 earthquake struck Dingri County in Shigatse City, Tibet, causing heavy casualties and collapsing numerous buildings.

SANY Group responded immediately, forming a rescue task force at 9:49 a.m. Under the professional guidance of emergency management authorities, at 11:06 a.m. it dispatched its first rescue contingent—including 17 professionals, 5 advanced excavators, 2 high-efficiency flatbed trailers and 4 emergency mobile vehicles—racing from Lhatse County to the hardest-hit core area to join rescue operations.

On January 8, the SANY Foundation, as the second echelon, rushed to the disaster area with professional search instruments and first-aid medicines, racing against time to join search-and-rescue operations and do everything possible to save every life.

As of 10 a.m. on January 8, SANY Group had deployed a total of 11 pieces of fine machinery and equipment and more than 20 professional rescue personnel, and donated a large amount of supplies, actively engaging in key rescue tasks such as clearing obstacles and search-and-rescue, effectively advancing the steady progress of relief efforts.

At present, more SANY emergency rescue forces are continuing to assemble toward the disaster area, going all out in search-and-rescue work, racing against time to repair damaged infrastructure, ensuring that local residents' daily life can return to normal as soon as possible, lighting a beacon of hope for the people in the disaster area and helping them rebuild their homes at an early date.
