Recently, the JULU Hydropower Station project in Indonesia, the first EPC project of Sinohydro Bureau 16 in the Asia-Pacific region and its second project implemented in Indonesia, received a defect liability period confirmation letter issued by the owner, marking that the hydropower station has successfully passed the completion acceptance. The 72-hour full-load test of the units is about to be carried out.

The Julu Hydropower Station in Indonesia is located in North Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra Province, Indonesia. It is a small and medium-sized hydropower project mainly for power generation, with a designed total installed capacity of 2×9 MW. After the station is put into operation, it is expected to provide about 110 million kWh of clean electricity per year, making a positive contribution to Indonesia's sustainable development and green energy goals.

During the project implementation, the project team of Sinohydro Bureau 16 adhered to the concept of "securing the market with on-site performance and driving the market with on-site performance" and organized and implemented on-site contract performance in strict accordance with the contract provisions. During this period, the project management explored in a beneficial way issues such as the splitting of the Indonesian EPC contract, country-specific localized management, and logistics management, and solved technical difficulties such as the prevention and control of hot spring groundwater during the excavation of felsite tunnels, the reinforcement grouting of felsite water diversion tunnels, and the treatment of geothermal hot spring water in the powerhouse foundation, accumulating experience for the planning and implementation of similar projects in the future.
