Recently, the first bid section of the Dongfang Electric Mulei 1-million-kilowatt wind power project, constructed under the general contracting of PowerChina Chengdu Engineering Corporation, successfully achieved its first grid-connected power generation target. This is Xinjiang's first million-kilowatt-level mountain wind farm and the largest single-unit mountain wind farm in China.

The first bid section has an installed capacity of 197.1 megawatts, including 3 units of 10-megawatt wind turbines, 16 units of 8.35-megawatt wind turbines, and 5 units of 6.7-megawatt wind turbines. The construction scope includes roads, collector lines, foundation pit platforms, hoisting operations, etc. After completion, the annual power generation will reach 2.7 billion kilowatt-hours, with cumulative carbon dioxide emission reductions of 2.63 million tons, which can effectively reduce air pollution and help accelerate the construction of large-scale wind power bases in desert, Gobi, and barren areas.

Since the start of the project, the project department of Chengdu Engineering Corporation has overcome unfavorable factors such as continuous blizzards and strong winds and hard permafrost zones. With only 6 months of effective construction time, it has devoted itself fully to project construction with the attitude of "the start is the decisive battle, the beginning is the sprint," making every effort to ensure construction progress, safety, and quality, and contributing to Xinjiang's clean energy cause.
