On December 29, the Yunnan Mananpingchang Photovoltaic Power Generation Project of PowerChina New Energy Company was successfully put into operation.

The Mananping photovoltaic project has an installed capacity of 400 MW and is located in Pingchang Village, Manan Township, Yongshan County, Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province, covering an area of 9,296 mu. After the project is put into operation, its average annual power generation will be 490 million kWh, and it can save 147,700 tons of standard coal annually, reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 265,800 tons, reduce sulfur dioxide emissions by 40.78 tons, reduce soot emissions by about 8.36 tons, and reduce nitrogen oxide emissions by about 65.34 tons. It has good social, environmental, and economic benefits and is of great significance for further optimizing the local energy structure and supporting the green development of the local economy.

As the largest single photovoltaic project in the Southwest region, the Mananping photovoltaic site area is at an altitude of 2,400-3,000 meters. Since the project officially started construction, all personnel have overcome difficulties such as steep construction terrain, severe climate in high-altitude areas, and inconvenient transportation. Always taking safety management as the foundation, under the careful guidance of leaders at all levels and the refined control of on-site project management personnel, they have taken "coordinated scheduling" and "timely resolution of on-site difficulties" as core work strategies, upheld the belief of "not pausing for a moment, not misstepping once, not delaying a single day," and kept a close focus on the key milestone of full-capacity grid connection. They carefully planned, reversed the construction schedule, refined milestones, cleverly arranged process interleaving, achieved efficient cross-operation at each work face, ensured a compact and orderly construction rhythm, and made every effort to advance the project's on-schedule commissioning.
