On December 21, the first batch of wind turbines of the Zhongdianjian Toksun County 1-million-kilowatt wind power project—the largest onshore wind power project developed and constructed by Power Construction Corporation of China (POWERCHINA) as a fully integrated investment—was successfully connected to the grid. It is like a pearl shining on the border of the motherland, set north of Toksun County in Turpan City, Xinjiang.

This project is currently the largest fully integrated onshore wind power project of POWERCHINA, the largest under-construction wind power project in Turpan Toksun County in terms of single-unit capacity (11 MW) to date, and also among the first batch of wind power projects that the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region has, in recent years, delegated to prefecture, autonomous prefecture, and city-level authorities for local record-filing, representing POWERCHINA's sound brand image for new energy investment in Xinjiang. In its first phase, the project installs 32 wind turbine generator units with a single-unit capacity of 8 MW and 23 units with a single-unit capacity of 11 MW, along with a newly built 220 kV booster station site. The elevation ranges from 150 m to 550 m, the construction area covers approximately 194.21 square kilometers, and the site is located in the extreme wind speed area of Xiaocaohu, where the historical maximum wind speed has exceeded 50 m/s. After full-capacity grid connection and power generation, the project will deliver approximately 1.944 billion kWh of green electricity annually and save 584,600 tons of standard coal each year, injecting strong momentum into the high-quality development of the regional economy.

With the goal of building a "harmonious project and high-quality project" for POWERCHINA and taking "management to a new level and building a first-class project" as its mission, the project construction team has pooled its strength, made precise decisions, and executed efficiently. It established a Party member vanguard team for engineering construction led by leaders of PowerChina New Energy Company, a Party member assault team for project construction, and a youth assault team led by the project manager. These "three teams" have taken the lead, coordinated project progress management, and facilitated the advancement of engineering construction. During the construction process, leaders of POWERCHINA and PowerChina New Energy Company visited the project site many times to supervise the work. The project was upgraded in management, deployments were implemented, and the construction team did a full job of communication and coordination throughout the project, providing meticulous and high-quality services for every stage from site selection, preliminary procedure handling, and approval to commencement of construction, and providing strong guarantees for the safe and high-quality construction of the project.

Next, the project department will seize the key milestones of construction, work backward from the schedule, and advance operation support work in a refined manner.
