Kleemann MOBIREX MR 130i EVO2 Mobile Impact Crusher — A Versatile Performer for Recycling Applications

Today it was still being used for recycling work near the VfB Stuttgart football stadium, and the next day it was operating efficiently in Esslingen in the Fils Valley — the MOBIREX MR 130i EVO2 mobile impact crusher is an indispensable part of the Abbruch & Erdbau fleet, and it has once again proven its outstanding flexibility.

The blue-and-white Kleemann machine and the red-and-white VfB Stuttgart football club complement each other beautifully; right next to the VfB stadium, a multi-storey car park has been demolished, and the demolition construction waste is being processed by CK Abbruch & Erdbau.

This is where the Kleemann MOBIREX MR 130i EVO2 mobile impact crusher really comes into its own. The machine is equipped with a final screening unit and can produce high-quality end products; the air classifier effectively removes unwanted light materials to ensure product quality, while the premium lighting package ensures greater site safety and ideal visibility during low-light periods.

"The product quality is impressive. We have very high requirements for the quality of the recycled end product, because as a recycling company we often have to compete with natural stone such as crushed stone or gravel."

Mr. Markus Christadler, Managing Director of CK Abbruch & Erdbau

CK Abbruch & Erdbau specializes in demolition and dismantling, earthworks and the recycling of construction materials, and has been using Kleemann crushing and screening equipment for many years. Markus Christadler says:

"This machine is a relatively new addition to our fleet, so I cannot yet comment much on material or energy consumption. But I am confident that we will ultimately be very satisfied, just as we are with the older models."

A strong lineup of Kleemann machines

Higher product quality requirements and ease of operation were two important reasons why the company decided to upgrade its fleet and purchase three brand-new Kleemann machines. In addition to the new MOBIREX MR 130i EVO2 mobile impact crusher, the new equipment also includes a MOBICAT MC 110i EVO2 mobile jaw crusher and a MOBISCREEN MSS 802i EVO primary screening plant.

Michell Blasczyk, a Kleemann expert from Wirtgen Germany, says: "All of CK Abbruch's machines are ideally maintained, and we are also happy to accept trade-ins, which enabled us to offer them a very attractive overall package."

Here today, there tomorrow — flexibility is crucial

One of CK Abbruch & Erdbau's main business areas is recycling materials directly on site. At the construction site in Stuttgart, 12,000 tonnes of reinforced concrete and 1,000 tonnes of asphalt mix were processed into high-quality frost protection base material with a grain size of 0 to 45 mm.

Markus Christadler believes they have found a more economical, efficient and environmentally friendly solution: "This significantly reduces our transport requirements and enables us to recycle construction materials on site in a targeted manner; around two-thirds of the materials are processed within a radius of less than 10 km."

However, crushing on site also means the machines are constantly on the move. Once a construction job is finished, they move on to the next site. "In our view, the flexibility of Kleemann machines is an absolute highlight!" praises the businessman.

The next job for the MOBIREX MR 130i EVO2 was a rather typical recycling application in Esslingen on the Fils River, where mixed rubble was fed into the crusher along with other raw materials. "In this case the air classifier is indispensable; it reliably separates small pieces of wood or plastic," says Markus Christadler.

Thanks to the intuitive SPECTIVE operating concept, users can easily handle changing conditions. In addition, the features the businessman particularly praises include the hopper extension; the larger hopper capacity allows more material to be loaded, which greatly ensures higher construction efficiency.

The final screening unit on the MR 130i EVO2 enables customers to dispense with a downstream end-product screen while keeping the machine compact. After all, the machine had already set off for the next site after crushing 15,000 to 20,000 tonnes of mixed material in Esslingen in just over two weeks — and the advantages are obvious.
