On December 18, the Datang Huayin Anxiang County Chenjiazui Town 220 MW Fishery-Solar Complementary EPC Project undertaken by Jiangxi Hydropower officially commenced construction. Upon completion, the project will adopt the "fishery-solar complementary" model to make full use of the pond water area, forming a composite industrial model of "power generation above water and aquaculture below water," achieving efficient utilization and ecological development of land resources, creating a "new model" for clean energy development, and supporting the green and low-carbon development of the local energy industry.
The project is located in Chenjiazui Town, Anxiang County, Changde City, Hunan Province, covering an area of approximately 6,400 mu, with a planned total installed capacity of 220 MW. A total of 315,840 bifacial modules will be installed, and a new 220 kV booster station will be built. The project will be connected to the grid using a scheme of block-based power generation and centralized grid connection. The designed average annual on-grid electricity output over the 25-year operating period is 339.57 million kWh, which will not only bring a stable and reliable clean energy supply to the local area, meet the living needs of more residents in the future, and promote the optimization and upgrading of the energy structure, but will also drive the development of related industrial chains, create more employment opportunities, and inject strong momentum into rural revitalization.
The project department stated that it will uphold the social responsibility of a central state-owned enterprise, advance project construction with high standards, high quality, and high efficiency, implement lean management across all links of the engineering construction work, and contribute to the green and low-carbon development of the energy industry in Anxiang, Changde.
Upon completion, the project will play a positive role in promoting local tourism and driving the rapid development of the local economy. At the same time, it can reduce the consumption of fossil resources and reduce environmental pollution from harmful gases emitted by coal burning and other sources. On average, it can save 104,000 tons of standard coal annually and reduce the emission of various air pollutants each year, including approximately 2,559.85 tons of sulfur dioxide, approximately 313,700 tons of carbon dioxide, and approximately 40,700 tons of ash and slag, delivering good social, environmental, and economic benefits.
