Recently, the Inner Mongolia Tongwei Green Substrate Materials Project, in which China Chemical Engineering Second Construction Corporation (CCESCC) participated, was put into operation.

The project is located in Darhan Muminggan Joint Banner, Baotou City. It is designed with an annual production line of 120,000 tons of industrial silicon, and includes new submerged arc furnaces, waste heat boilers, dust collectors, desulfurization and denitrification units, substations, and related supporting equipment. CCESCC was mainly responsible for the construction of Shift Dormitory Buildings No. 1 and No. 2, the Administrative Office Building, the Control Center, and the Comprehensive Office Building.

The commissioning of the project marks another leap forward in Baotou City's efforts to build a "World Green Silicon Capital," and injects strong momentum into the local drive to cultivate new quality productive forces and accelerate the construction of a 100-billion-yuan-level industrial park. It plays a key role in improving the local new energy industry chain, optimizing the energy supply structure, and increasing green electricity consumption, delivering economic, social, and environmental benefits.
